HEALTH. Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The word health is etymologically connected to WHOLE and HOLY which means when you are healthy you are : Whole Fulfilled Connected/ interconnected Aware of the larger world Happy.

FITNESS. Physical fitness is a state of health and well-being and, more specifically, the ability to perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities. Physical fitness is generally achieved through proper nutrition, moderate-vigorous physical exercise, and sufficient rest.

LEVELS OF HEALTH INCLUDES: PHYSICAL HEALTH(absence of disease, plenty of exercise, proper nutrition, enough of sleep everyday, absence of abuse of body like violence and drugs) EMOTIONAL HEALTH (being happy, managing stress, accepting oneself {body, feelings and thoughts}, accepting what can’t be changed and making most of it and making a difference) SPIRITUAL HAELTH (understanding yourself as part of a whole e.g.: Family, Community And Universe, to find a meaning in your life and to recognize yourself and your purpose in the life) INTELLETUAL /MENTAL HEALTH (Learning new things throughout your life, having something that keeps you excited and enthusiastic, being creative in all areas like: movement, music, art, poetry, living etc..)

LEVELS OF HEALTH INCLUDES: SOCIAL HEALTH (having family and/or friends, having support, feeling to be a part of the community and having a connection to humans or animals). ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH (feeling connected to the Universe, having interconnection with earth and nature, getting healthy and fresh environment). GLOBAL HEALTH (Peace and peace consciousness, respect for others, companion, harmony).

COMPONENTS OF FITNESS CARDIO-VASCULAR FITNESS (Aerobic exercise) MUSCULAR ENDURANCE (Strength training) FLIEXIBILTIY (Stretching) How often we should do these exercise for full benefits? Cardio for at least 3-5 times per week and 30-60 min per session. Strength 3 times week for all body parts. Flexibility everyday. Every exercise routine should include four parts WARM-UP, WORK-OUT, COOL DOWN and STRETCHING.

Safeguarding your body from the consumption of harmful substances, Regular exercise including practicing Yoga, as an instance exercises in your regular help, you maintain immunity level center, blood glucose, and your fitness. Plenty of sleep and proper wholesome diet containing healthful and healthy food including eating veggies with eggs milk, vitamins, whole grains, fruits and antioxidants essential for the life span of an individual. Nutrition also plays a main role in health and fitness.

YOGA ROLE IN HEALTH AND FITNESS. Yoga as we know has been proven to be the most effective in the person health and betterment of the person’s body. Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness; relieves chronic stress patterns; relaxes the mind; centers attention; and sharpens concentration. Some of the yoga asana are: Vrikshasana (Tree Pose) Adho Mukho Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog pose) Trikonasana (Triangle Pose) Naukasana (Boat Pose) Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) Paschimottanasana Child's Pose etc..

Why health and fitness are important? Being healthy and fit implies in simple terms to take care of the body, always should remember that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Wellness of body and the mind helps you keep the energy level to achieve success. Helps to empower us to perform our jobs without being tired or lethargic. A healthy and fit person is capable of living life with no significant physical or problems. Getting healthy is not just connected with an individual’s physiological well-being, but in addition, it requires the calmness of a man or woman or psychological equilibrium. Healthy habits improve your physical appearance, emotional stability, the capability to do activities in a much better manner, which allows you to give a stress-free method of life, preserving happy moods, greater energy levels, etc.

Effects of lack of fitness and health. Some of the harmful effects of lack of physical activity are Heart Disease (CVD), Type 2 diseases, Cancer, obesity (metabolic syndrome), High blood pressure etc. A large population of the globe is affect by lack of physical activity and facing health issues. World Health Organization (WHO) has made a recommendation by splitting into different age groups: 5-17 years 18 to 64 years 65 years and above For adults, these include the recommendation to do at least 150 minutes (2.5 hours) of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity throughout the week, or at least 75 minutes of vigorous intensity activity, or a combination of the two. Physical activity included: leisure time physical activity walking or cycling Work and proper nutritional diet household chores playing games and sports
