Radiation therapy can cause side effects, including fatigue, skin irritation, and nausea, but these side effects are usually temporary and can be managed with medication and other supportive care. Radiation oncologists work closely with other members of the patients care team to manage side effects and ensure the best possible outcome for each patient.
