Summarize the historical evolution of home health and hospice care At the beginning the home health care was given by family member. Until the ladies benevolent society in Charleston, USA South Carolina in 1813 made the effort to care for the sick poor at home(Buhler- Wilkerson,2007). Later in the 19th century , it was possible for women to become nurses trained in the manner of Florence Nightingale, then wealthy women started to higher them as visiting nurses. .
