Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is a group of cancers that affect the lymphocytes and can occur in any part of the body. There are several subtypes of NHL, and the treatment and prognosis depend on the specific subtype. The most common subtype of NHL in children is called lymphoblastic lymphoma.

The symptoms of pediatric lymphomas can vary depending on the type and stage of the cancer. Common symptoms may include swollen lymph nodes, fever, night sweats, weight loss, fatigue, and itching. Diagnosis usually involves a physical exam, blood tests, imaging tests, and a biopsy of the affected tissue.

Treatment for pediatric lymphomas typically involves a combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The specific treatment plan depends on the type and stage of the cancer. In some cases, a stem cell transplant may be recommended. With appropriate treatment, the prognosis for pediatric lymphomas is generally good, with a high cure rate for many subtypes of the disease.
