What Works? One-to-One Interventions ‘Community navigator’ services help people become less lonely and socially isolated Group Interventions Evidence suggests group interventions are more effective than one-to-one interventions. Interventions which included an activity, such as painting or exercise, were effective in reducing loneliness. New Technologies Published evidence on using new technologies (including IT/digital) are so far conflicting. Carers Support Six dimensions important for interventions aimed at reducing social isolation/loneliness of rural carers: Addressing individual needs 4.
