Role of Biobran in Covid-19 Patients
Slide 2-

Covid-19 COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the recently found virus known as SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Corona Virus-2)
Slide 3-

SYMPTOMS HIGH FEVER The body temperature can exceed 98.6 ºF HEADACHE The patient can suffer from headaches DRY COUGH Constant coughing with/without expelling mucus DYSPNOEA Breathing actually feels more difficult
Slide 4-

LOSS OF SMELL & TASTE FATIGUE DIARRHEA SYMPTOMS Recently there is repot of loss of Smell & Taste as early symptoms Patients feel fatigue during & in post Covid situation Some gets diarrhea as symptom of Covid-19
Slide 5-

Spread This virus is mainly spread by Respiratory Droplets. CONTACT COUGH SNEEZE

Inflammation of both lungs PNEUMONIA SEVERE CONDITION But Covid-19 Virus pass the Mucus & Cilia defense and enter the Alveoli. Generally, Mucus & Cilia lining the tubes of Trachea, Bronchi and Bronchioles push out the germs and pathogen out of the airways through coughing. As this virus also weakens our immune system, it overwhelms our immune cells and cause cytokine storm. As a result, Alveoli gets inflamed and fills with fluid making it difficult for O2 and CO2 exchange. Develops Pneumonia. With Comorbidities, eventually leads to Death.

Although the Covid-19 virus affects the immune system and downregulates them, Lymphocytes including NK cells continues to fight the Virus as they are greater in number compared to in Adults. STUDY OBSERVATIONS 1. NK Cells ACE2 receptors are upregulated in children and they work better because of less number of virus due to NK Cells. ACE2 receptors also have anti-inflammatory function. Because of that mild symptoms appears in children. 2. ACE2 Receptors As children are more prone to lung infection, their immune cells in lung are more active in exposure to any virus in lung. 3. Lung Immunity

NK Cell Important part of Innate Immunity. First line of Immune Defense. Secret Perforin & Granzymes to kill viral infected cells. Compose 10%-15% of peripheral Lymphocytes. Early producers of IFN-ɣ Do not need prior exposure for their activity. Enhance target cell activity. Facilitates Adaptive Immunity.

AT THE END As SARS-CoV-2 shares almost 80% Genomic Similarity of the SARS-CoV Virus and they behave almost in a same way, early management of the SARS-CoV-2 virus by Boosting Our Innate Immunity can save us from this dreadful pandemic disease.
